I heard they are changing the legal driving age, is this true?

Answer:

An official decision to change the legal driving age has not been made. The current legal driving age is 16+ years old. If and when the legal driving age does change we will post it here.

The most common thought answer to this question is that the DMV has set up a cutoff birth year. For example, anyone born after a specific year will be required to wait until they are 18 years old to get a drivers license. This hasn't happened and it's untrue.
